I would recommend this to anyone who wants to use their IPOD and have a descent sound too. One thing that would be nice to have would be a way to display the name of the song while it is playing. The display does not continuously display even the FM station it is playing, it will only display the memory number. This receiver replaced a Blaupunkt receiver in my son's Mercedes 260E. The price of this receiver was well worth it and at Amazon it was cheaper than at Crutchfield. The sound of the receiver is excellent and the best part of all is that it has the USB port in the front and my son uses it to attach an IPOD. The installation went smoothly and we were done in an hour. No special adapter or cable is needed to use the IPOD, the standard IPOD cable works fine, and the IPOD can charge when the cable is attached.
The functionality of the stereo is good plus it comes with a remote. This is a great product and sounds wonderful. Wish I could choose something different.
My factory stereo quit reading CDs so that gave me a reason to get one. Reads WMA, MP3, and AAC files. I've been wanting a MP3 player stereo for a while now.
The only thing that I don't like is the blue and red led colors. Bought from Amazon because it was $50 cheaper than Crutchfield. This model has 3pair of preamp outs.
I love the usb port on the front along with the line in (mini-din).
Easy to install and easy to program. Excellent car audio system for the price paid. I knew about clarion as I have had the similar system from the same brand before.
I'll upgrade this review after it's installed and tested. I researched car receivers to find the perfect one for my daughter's first car. This seems to have it all.
